Myself and my fellow Confettis were recently invited to have a super fun day with our besties Schuh in Shoreditch customising some incredibly sassy shoes! It was legit the best blogger event ever to be held, the lovely ladies over at Schuh really spoilt us with attention to detail. We had our own balloons and pinnies with our names on, there were rainbow decorations and lots of yummy food.
We customised 2 pairs of their Schuh shoes, I chose the white Lightning flatforms and the black Cover Story heels (see how they look in my next blog post). We spent the morning with their lovely shoe designer Claire who gave us some inspiration, taught us a few tricks and helped us with our ideas. After we got together some seriously sassy ideas, we got stuck in with our customising.
I knew I wanted to create some sort of rainbow stripey shoe with the white flatforms and thought it would be easier and neater to do vertical stripes rather than horizontal all the way around. I started off by spray painting the top of the shoe pink and once that was dry I drew lines all around both shoes with an invisible pen ready to be painted different colours. I then painted all the stripes different colours (a little messily nonetheless) and voila this is the outcome! I have serious issues with drawing between lines and keeping things tidy haha but I'm still so happy with how they turned out!
Watch the video below to see what we got up to on the day and how the other girls shoes turned out :D You can also read more about our day on Schuh blog <3
